This is a votive scented candle embellished with a Friendly Plastic frame. I printed the text onto a piece of clear plastic transparency film. The word was cut out and glued to the candle jar. The shapes needed for the frame were cut from strips of Friendly Plastic. I used a heat gun to fuse each piece onto the jar. As the plastic began to melt it followed the form of the curve on the jar and the plastic was added one piece at a time to complete the frame.

I decided to look for ways to put my art technique into areas other than jewelry. These kitchen spoons use traditional wire wrapping combined with Friendly Plastic. The wire was shaped and placed on the spoon. A piece of each color of plastic was cut and melted over the wire and onto the spoon with a heat gun.

Jewelry in San Francisco
I have always loved San Francisco. A funky gallery called WonderlandSF downtown is featuring my jewelry. There will be trips to the city in my future.
